◆ Measurement Principle
Thermal resistor is one of the most commonly used temperature detectors in the medium and low temperature range. The principle of thermal resistance temperature measurement is based on the characteristic that the resistance value of a metal conductor increases with rising temperature. Its main features are high measurement accuracy and stable performance. Among them, platinum thermal resistors achieve the highest measurement accuracy, being not only widely used in industrial temperature measurement but also manufactured as standard reference instruments. Most thermal resistors are made of pure metal materials, with platinum and copper being the most frequently used materials for manufacturing thermal resistors. There are various types of temperature-sensing materials for metal thermal resistors, with platinum wire being the most commonly used. A thermocouple is a commonly used temperature sensing element in temperature measurement instruments. It directly measures temperature and converts the temperature signal into a thermoelectromotive force signal, which is then converted into the temperature of the measured medium by electrical instruments(secondary instruments). The external appearance of various thermocouples often varies significantly depending on requirements, but their basic structure is generally similar. They typically consist of main components such as thermoelectrodes, insulating sleeve protective tubes, and terminal boxes, and are usually used in conjunction with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators.
