Measurement principle
The product employs frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) technology, transmitting a high‑frequency, continuously frequency‑modulated radar signal via its antenna. This transmitted signal is reflected by the medium and received by the antenna as an echo with a shifted frequency. The frequency shift is proportional to the distance and is converted into a level measurement.
Non-contact measurement is employed to determine the level of both liquid and solid media. Even under high pressure and extreme temperatures, these sensors can reliably measure a wide range of liquid media—such as solvents, corrosive substances, and hygienic applications. Moreover, they provide stable and dependable measurements for both light and heavy solids; even in the presence of intense dust and noise, or under conditions of adhesion and condensation, measurement performance remains unaffected.
