AOWPH+485 Digital pH Sensor
PH products employ industrial pH electrodes as sensors. The probe consists of a solid electrolyte and a large‑area polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) liquid junction, offering resistance to clogging and ease of maintenance. The electrode used for pH measurement is also referred to as a primary cell, in which chemical energy is converted into electrical energy, generating an electromotive force (EMF). The EMF arises from two half‑cells: one is the measuring half‑cell, whose potential depends on the activity of a specific ion; the other is the reference half‑cell, commonly called the reference electrode, which is typically in contact with the medium being measured and connected to the measuring instrument.
