How to break the telemetry signal difference in manholes?
2025-07-14
With the advancement of projects such as sponge cities and digital cities, in the field of manhole sensing, various measurement data (such as water level, flow rate, water temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity, etc.) are usually uploaded through wireless signals after sensing.
The commonly used wireless signals currently include NB-IOT, 4G, 2G (with significantly reduced applications), LORA, WIFI, etc.
Transmission antennas are usually placed inside manholes, where signals are already poor. In addition, the use of metal manhole covers (which shield wireless signals) makes signal transmission very unreliable.
In response to this situation, Aotai Company has developed a road antenna for dedicated underground wireless telemetry equipment. This antenna can be installed on the road or directly built into the well. When the signal quality underground is poor, road installation can be used to effectively solve the problem of stable wireless signal transmission, eliminating the anxiety of underground signals.
