To strengthen the city’s flood‑monitoring and early‑warning system, Fuzhou has organized operations and maintenance personnel to conduct regular inspections and maintenance of underground road‑water level sensors throughout the jurisdiction. Staff members have visited each monitoring site—such as low‑lying intersections and underpasses—on a case‑by‑case basis, checking the sensors’ operational status, clearing debris like sediment and fallen leaves from the sensor probes, and verifying the condition of the equipment’s protective housing, wireless communication systems, and power‑supply modules.
During operations and maintenance, we conduct synchronized verification of water‑accumulation measurement accuracy and assess the reliability of data‑upload performance, ensuring that the equipment can precisely capture water‑depth information whenever rainfall occurs. Through routine inspections and ongoing upkeep, we continuously safeguard the stable operation of this network of water‑accumulation sensing systems, enhance the city’s capacity for flood‑warning response, and protect citizens’ safety during rainy weather.
