In early October 2025, the road waterlogging warning screen developed by Fujian Aotai Automation was deployed and put into use in the urban construction department of a certain southern city, providing key technical support for the city to deal with road waterlogging during the flood season and daily rainfall, and further improving the urban traffic safety early warning system.
The equipment has extremely strong compatibility in sensor adaptation and can be flexibly combined with underground/side-mounted road water accumulation meters, electronic water gauges, ultrasonic/radar/static pressure water level meters and various water level remote measurement devices. It can precisely select the appropriate model according to the installation environment and monitoring accuracy requirements, meeting the water accumulation monitoring needs of different scenarios.
The data acquisition methods are diverse and efficient: It can be connected to the background server via wireless 4G network to retrieve and summarize the accumulated water data in real time. It can also collect the original water accumulation information of the sensor at a close range with the help of wireless radio frequency signals. The equipment will automatically analyze data according to the preset logical algorithm to ensure timely monitoring and accurate early warning, avoiding the failure of early warning due to data delay or error.
The early warning function builds a three-dimensional protection from visual and auditory perspectives: The display end adopts an outdoor high-brightness LED dot matrix screen. Even in strong light or bad weather, the water depth value and warning phrases such as "Proceed with caution" and "No Entry" remain clearly visible. The warning light is a red, green and blue flashing LED. It has high recognition in dim light, making up for the limitations of text display. It is also equipped with high-quality warning speakers that continuously play water accumulation prompt voices to cover pedestrians and drivers who are not paying attention to the screen.
When water accumulation is detected, the screen, warning lights and horn are activated simultaneously, forming a multi-dimensional early warning to help pedestrians and drivers make quick decisions on passage and avoid water safety risks. During the rainy season in the south, this device effectively enhances the efficiency of urban waterlogging response, adds safety guarantees for citizens' travel, and helps upgrade urban traffic safety management towards intelligence and efficiency.
