Deepening Hydrological Technical Exchanges to Jointly Promote the Upgrading of Monitoring Equipment — A Delegation from the Guangdong Provincial Hydrology Bureau Visits Aotai Automation for Inspection and Research

2026-07-20

Recently, leaders of the Guangdong Provincial Hydrological Bureau, accompanied by heads of two subordinate branch bureaus, formed an inspection and research team that visited Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. for on-site visits and technical assessments. The group engaged in comprehensive discussions on the R&D and manufacturing of hydrological flow‑monitoring equipment, as well as the implementation and application of related projects, thereby laying a solid foundation for future business collaboration and technological cooperation.

The inspection delegation first visited the company’s R&D center and its end-to-end production workshops, closely observing the entire process of hydrological monitoring instruments—from conceptual design and component machining to final assembly and factory‑level quality inspection. They also conducted detailed inquiries into the company’s product‑technology iteration, quality‑control protocols, and standardized production system, commending the company’s self‑developed hydrological monitoring equipment for its advanced manufacturing standards and robust quality‑assurance management.

Subsequently, the research team traveled to the field deployment sites of the acoustic tomography cross‑sectional flowmeter project within Fujian Province, where they inspected the equipment’s round‑the‑clock outdoor operating conditions, verified its cross‑sectional flow measurement accuracy, environmental adaptability, and long‑term operational stability, and gained a firsthand understanding of its real‑world performance in natural river channels and water‑system cross‑sections.

During the discussion session, both parties engaged in an in-depth exchange on two core flow‑measurement products: the acoustic tomography cross‑sectional flow meter and the H‑ADCP acoustic Doppler current profiler. Addressing practical challenges in hydrological monitoring, water‑quantity scheduling, and flood‑control forecasting within Guangdong’s river basins, they shared insights on equipment measurement principles, cross‑sectional adaptation strategies, data‑integration architectures, and field‑level anti‑interference performance, while identifying avenues for optimizing existing monitoring scenarios.

This on-site visit has established a bridge for technical communication between government and enterprises. Building on the practical needs of hydrological monitoring in Guangdong, Aotai Automation will continue to enhance product compatibility and localized service capabilities, working hand in hand with the competent hydrological authorities to refine the smart hydrological sensing system for river basins, thereby supporting the high‑quality, digital, refined, and intelligent development of hydrological monitoring across Guangdong Province.
