The Fujian Aotai Doppler Flow Sensor Assists in Flow Monitoring of Shaanxi’s Municipal Drainage Network.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a pipeline flow monitoring system for a municipal drainage network project in Shaanxi Province, ensuring the safe drainage of the city during the holiday period.

The dual-mode flow sensor is a mainstream monitoring device that has been widely adopted and frequently chosen in municipal drainage networks in recent years. In this project, we are using an integrated five-in-one underground sensing sensor that combines an ultrasonic Doppler flow velocity sensor, a radar Doppler flow velocity sensor, a radar level gauge, a static-pressure level gauge, and a pair of conductivity sensors, enabling simultaneous multi-parameter monitoring.
This sensor is installed above the horizontal pipeline, significantly reducing its exposure to the medium compared to traditional direct-contact measurement methods. As a result, it effectively minimizes fouling, corrosion, and interference, greatly extends the maintenance cycle, and becomes much more user-friendly for on-site operations and maintenance.

Equipped with an underground, self-powered telemetry terminal made of stainless steel, this device features a robust and durable design, an IP68 high-level protection rating, and a built-in long-life battery that ensures stable, long-term operation. The product also comes with remote OTA functionality, enabling remote configuration and modification of various setting parameters without the need for on-site operations, making maintenance even more convenient.
The system transmits drainage flow data via 4G wireless communication, providing precise and real-time data support for network operation monitoring, drainage scheduling, urban flood warning, pipeline maintenance and operation, and smart municipal management, thereby effectively enhancing the safe operation and refined management of the city’s drainage system.
