Recently, the 80G industrial radar level gauge manufactured by Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. was successfully installed and commissioned at a chemical plant in southwest China, where it has been put to effective use for monitoring the liquid levels in acid and alkali storage tanks. Addressing the core requirements of harsh corrosive environments and high-risk conditions commonly found in chemical plants, this equipment features a two-wire design, a specialized corrosion-resistant antenna, and high-precision measurement capabilities, thereby establishing a robust technological safeguard for the safe operation and maintenance of storage tanks.
This device employs frequency-modulated continuous-wave technology, with an operating frequency range of 76–81 GHz. It precisely avoids interference from obstacles inside storage tanks, accurately captures even the slightest changes in liquid levels, and exhibits excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. It is suitable for a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, making it perfectly equipped to handle corrosive media and complex environments found in chemical plants.
The device adopts a two-wire 24V DC power supply, featuring simple and efficient wiring that significantly reduces on-site installation and operation & maintenance costs. It also supports 4-20mA/HART signal output, enabling seamless integration with factory control systems. By transmitting liquid-level data in real time, this solution empowers management personnel to remotely monitor the status of storage tanks and automatically trigger high- and low-level alarms, effectively mitigating the risk of acid and alkali leaks.
